Child Safety Standards
SyncUp's public policy against child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE). Last updated: June 2026.
Zero tolerance
SyncUp absolutely prohibits any content or conduct linked to child sexual abuse or exploitation (CSAE/CSAM). This includes child sexual abuse material, grooming, sextortion and any attempt at inappropriate contact with minors. Detecting any of this conduct results in the immediate removal of the content, the permanent suspension of the account and a report to the competent authorities.
A community for adults 18 and over only
SyncUp is a platform exclusively for adults. The minimum age to create an account is 18, declared through a mandatory date of birth during sign-up. Accounts detected as belonging to minors are suspended immediately. The app is rated 18+ in the app stores.
In-app reporting
Any user can report profiles, groups or messages directly from the app, at any time and confidentially. Every report is reviewed by our moderation team. On top of that, every profile photo goes through manual approval before it becomes visible, and chat messages are screened automatically for conduct that breaches these standards.
Legal compliance and reporting to the authorities
SyncUp complies with all applicable child protection laws, including Argentine legislation (Ley 26.904 on grooming, art. 128 of the Código Penal, the Argentine criminal code) and the international standards against CSAE. On detecting child abuse material or conduct, we preserve the evidence and report it to the competent regional and national authorities, and we cooperate fully with law enforcement in any investigation.
