Terms and Conditions

1. Acceptance of the terms

By accessing and using SyncUp (“the App”), you accept these Terms and undertake to comply with them. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

2. Age requirement

You have to be at least 18 years old to use this App. By using it, you state and warrant that you are at least 18 years old.

3. Description of the service

SyncUp is a platform that connects people who want to attend concerts and music events together. The App makes connections between users easier but does not organise, sponsor or take responsibility for any event or in-person meeting.

Important: We do not organise gigs or events. We only provide the platform for users to connect with each other. Whatever they arrange between themselves is their own responsibility.

4. User conduct

You agree to use the App only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You undertake not to:

• Use the App in any way that breaches any applicable national or international law or regulation
• Post or transmit any content that is unlawful, harmful, threatening, abusive, harassing, defamatory, vulgar, obscene or otherwise objectionable
• Impersonate or attempt to impersonate another user or person
• Upload content containing viruses or any other malicious code
• Harass, abuse or harm another person
• Use the App for commercial purposes without our express written consent
• Collect or store personal data about other users without their express permission

5. User-generated content

Users may post content such as profile information, photos, messages and event information, among others. You keep all rights over your content, but you grant SyncUp a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to use, store and display your content in connection with the App.

You are the only person responsible for the content you post. We reserve the right to remove any content that breaches these Terms or that we consider inappropriate.

6. Safety and in-person meetings

Important safety notice: SyncUp is not responsible for any in-person meeting or interaction between users. When you meet someone from the App:

• Always meet in public places
• Tell a friend or a family member about your plans
• Keep a clear head and stay aware of what is going on around you
• Trust your gut: if something feels off, leave
• Never share financial information or send money to other users

You acknowledge and accept that SyncUp is not responsible for the conduct of users offline, nor for any damage, injury or loss resulting from in-person meetings.

7. Account termination

We reserve the right to suspend or close your account at any time, with or without prior notice, for conduct that in our judgement breaches these Terms or is harmful to other users, to us or to third parties, or for any other reason, at our sole discretion.

8. Disclaimer of warranties

The App is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the App will run uninterrupted, secure or error-free.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, SyncUp will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, nor for any loss of profits or revenue, whether direct or indirect, nor for any loss of data, of use, of goodwill or other intangible losses.

10. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless SyncUp and its officers, directors, employees and agents from any claim, damage, loss, liability and expense (including legal fees) arising from your use of the App or from your breach of these Terms.

11. Changes to the terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. If there is a material change, we tell you by publishing the new Terms on this page and updating the “Last updated” date. If you keep using the App after the changes take effect, you are accepting the new Terms.

12. Governing law

These Terms will be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which SyncUp operates, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
